OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES
Mahant Shri gives chhanthi kapad (a piece of cloth to offered to the goddess
of fortune on the 6th day of child’s birth to write on it the
child's fate) to all new born babies. At the time of weddings the temple
provides its premises and other related services at a very low cost to any one who needs
them. Shree Narayandasji Maharaj has built a beautiful crematorium in Nadiad
where everything that is needed for cremation including funeral bier is freely
provided by him. Thus, the three most important events namely birth, marriage
and death in the life of an individual are adequately taken care of by the
temple.

Temple, following other services are provided by the temple:
 | Another hospital has been established by Shri Narayandasji Maharaj at
Umreth, a town near Nadiad, which is known as B. D. Patel General Hospital
under auspices of Shri Santram Mandir Mahant Shri Ganeshdasji Maharaj of
Umreth is looking day-to-day work of this Hospital. |
| Handicapped persons are given monetary help in addition to Tricycles and
various accessories on need basis. |
| Nitya Satsang a daily program of religious lecture is held in satsang
bhavan. |
| Shri Santram Shishu Kendra. A child center works on every Saturday and
Sunday for socializing the children and inculcating Indian moral, social and
cultural values in them. |
| Relief work during draught, famine and floods. |
| Last rite service (Funeral and post funeral services) |
| Provision of cold drinking water in summer ad distribution of clothes and
blankets to the needy in winter. |
